About SACS

South Asian Community Services (SACS) was established in 2023 and is a not-for-profit organization. We are a team of volunteers working with individuals and families of the South Asian Community. SACS welcomes members of Sri Lankan, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Bhutanese and Maldives origin.

SACS specifically helps the Newcomers and Seniors by way of providing general information on education, employment, healthcare, etc. including community and government services. Everyone requires relevant information to make decisions in timely manner. The better use of information keeps one on track & improves one’s life. To live effectively is to live with authentic & adequate information.
SACS provide support services to individuals to explore their underlying needs & enable them to handle any problems they face. If needed, we refer them to relevant agencies for specialized help. It also acts as a support system for emotional support and hub for social networking among the South Asian Community.

We facilitate empowering life-changing mentoring relationship for individuals. Mentoring is to support, guide and encourage them to improve their learning and become the person they want to be. Mentors share their time, knowledge and real-world experience with mentees for their career and personal development. Community volunteers, as Mentors, can offer support to youths, as Mentees, for their social-emotional learning. We also encourage them to develop their skills and help mentees succeed in their life. Peer mentoring too provides an opportunity for knowledge-sharing and mutual support.
